Step one: Have hope

I hate to mimic the words of Gandhi or a chapter in ‘The Life of Pi’ ,but, hope is possibly the most loyal and strongest friend we have.  Hope gives us something to look forward to when we have nothing left.. Hope oppiens a new door for us when all the others slam in our faces. So when you feel like you have nothing and there is not a single thing that can make you feel smaller than you are feeling right now, just think of what you have to look forward to.
And if you feel that you have nothing to look forward to then PLAN something.
-cinema/ drinks/ chat/ holiday/ concert/ shopping with your friends/ mother/ father (parents can sometimes provide us with a little retail therapy. WARNING: Not always 100% guaranteed)/ auntie/ boyfriend?

(I probably need to tone down the punctuation before my laptop self destructs. Although, I have hope in my crappy old dell laptop).

Anyway, as I was saying…
If you give yourself something to look forward to it will make you feel a million times better. I don’t just mean making smalls plans like a going to an Iggy Azalea concert, I mean long term ambitions such as travelling abroad for your gap year or wanting to write a book. The bigger the dream, the bigger your mood will be lifted.

I’ll leave you with that.
And just for the record, it’s my dream to one day be a writer and live in California.
Even the thought just makes me grin.
